"The order showed up in good shape..."
The order showed up in good shape, so that was good, but the shipping took longer than the estimate, which was kind of frustrating. The tracking also didn’t update for a few days, so I was basically just waiting around wondering what was going on. The item itself is nice, just, you know, the delivery wasn’t the most reliable.

"A small thing that’s become part of my routine"
I’ve been using my Smythson notebook cover for a little over a year now, it’s held up better than I expected. It gets tossed into my work bag most days with keys, chargers, and all the usual chaos, but it still looks really good. The corners have softened a bit, which I actually don’t mind, it makes it feel lived-in rather than worn out. Nothing has peeled, come loose, or felt flimsy. It definitely wasn’t cheap, but I’ve come to appreciate having something I use every day that feels considered and built to last. I’m happy I bought it

"Had the diary colour I wanted"
I was after a particular diary colour and Smythson actually had it when everywhere else was out. The checkout were easy too, and I didn’t get hit with one of those annoying out of stock messages right at the end. Really pleased with it...

"Clean, classy site with just a little too much scrolling"
I really like the look of Smythson overall, it feels neat, polished, and classy without trying too hard. The product photos are lovely, and the colors make everything easy to look at. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that some pages felt a little too spaced out, so I ended up scrolling more than I expected. Still, it’s a really nice site to browse and has a calm, premium feel to it.

"Checkout was fine, I guess, but kinda slow"
The checkout did go through in the end, so that was good. But the pages were loading slowly and the payment confirmation took longer than I expected. It wasn’t a huge disaster or anything, just a little frustrating. Overall it worked, but also it kind of tested my patience.

I contacted Smythson because I needed an update on my order, they got back to me sooner than I thought they would. The reply was clear, and to be fair, they actually answered what I asked instead of sending one of those generic copy-paste responses.
I’m only holding back on 5 stars because the first reply did take a little longer than I’d hoped, but it wasn’t some huge issue. After that, they were responsive, so I don’t really have anything major to complain about. Overall, it was good customer service and not much hassle.

"Lovely notebook, worth it for me"
I bought a leather notebook from Smythson, partly because I told myself I needed something nicer to keep me organized. the quality is really lovely. The cover feels soft but still sturdy, and the paper is much better than the usual notebooks I end up buying. It’s definitely not cheap, but I’m justifying it by saying it’ll last me ages. Really happy with it

I ordered from Smythson mainly because I’ve always known the name, and it does feel premium when it arrives. The packaging was really nice too — the kind you don’t want to throw away straight away, so it’s currently sitting on my dresser for no real reason. The item itself looked well made and had that classy, understated feel I was hoping for. That said, the prices are definitely high, so it’s not somewhere I’d be shopping all the time, maybe more for a gift or a small treat. Overall I’m happy with it though...

"Refund sorted with no hassle"
I had to send back a wallet because I picked the wrong colour, and the whole return was easier than I expected. I posted it back and got a clear email once they’d received it, which I appreciated because some places leave you guessing.
The refund landed a few days later with no chasing, no awkward delays, and no back-and-forth. Customer service was polite as well. Compared with a few competitors I’ve dealt with, this was much more straightforward, which is really all I wanted.
